Notre Vin Howell Mountain
Cabernet Sauvignon
Our Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are sourced from a few very select vineyards sites on top of the mountain at an altitude of about 1800 feet.
The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon is dark and intense with its purple color. Always a
Château Latour inspired wine, with restraint yet substance as well as layered richness, a creamy opulent texture, nicely integrated
tannins and delicious briary mountain fruit of blackberry and blueberry mixed with sensational notes of graphite and crushed rocks.
This wine needs a good 5-6 years of cellaring and should age for three decades at minimum.

The 2008 vintage presents a pretty garnet color with purple reflections. On the nose we find
enticing berry aromas with dark cherries, blackberry seed and pomegranate along with those typical Howell Mountain scents
of fresh walnut, crushed rock, dried herbs and lavender. There are layers of rich cocoa, espresso roast and hints of
pencil shavings. The wine is full bodied, plush and intense with great concentration due to extremely low yields in 2008.
We discover refined layers of ripe, fine grain tannins with a truly pleasant lingering finish. This is without doubt one of
the best wines we have made. It is still young with tremendous potential, and can be enjoyed now as well as cellared
for 10-15 years.

This dark garnet Cabernet Sauvignon from the 2007 vintage exhibits a fabulous nose of crushed rock,
graphite and cedar, layers of sweet black and blue fruits intermixed with cocoa powder, walnut, fresh almonds and scents of freshly
roasted coffee. In the mouth this wine shows concentration, great richness and volume with a sense of freshness and energy together with
that noble sweetness of tannin with stunning purity as well as a layered sensual finish. The aftertaste leaves you with delicious
flavors of blood orange and tangerine. When young, our 2007 Howell Mountain was massively tannic and just recently started to open up.
It is a beauty that can be enjoyed now, particularly with decanting, however it will benefit from more time in the cellar.
