Notre Vin Napa Valley
Cabernet Sauvignon     Cuvée L’Etrier

Cuvée L’Etrier, our Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from the cooler Conn Valley in the foothills of Howell Mountain.

The 2010 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon shows an attractive ruby/purple color along with delightful aromas of ripe blackberry and cassis, with a floral component of white blossom and fruit with almonds and peach. The wine is rich, dense and concentrated, with great balance, nice spice and beautiful ripe well-coated tannins that translates into a generous, silky wine with power and charm. One of the best Napa Valley Cabernet we ever made, a delight now but can definitely be cellared for further enjoyment for the next decade or more.

The 2007 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon shows a beautiful garnet color along with delightful aromas of ripe blackberry, cassis, sweet orange and bitter chocolate that soar from the glass. Lush and powerful on the palate, with rich velvety texture and despite the big tannic structure this wine has impeccable balance and harmony with flavors of red cherries, toast and forest floor layered into the tense vibrant finish. A delight now but can be cellared for further enjoyment for the next 10-15 years.

The 2006 vintage exhibits an opaque ruby purple color along with a wonderful perfume of fragrant roses, Meyer lemon blossoms, cassis and a sweet blend of red and blue berries. Opulent, still elegant and well-balanced palate, red juicy cherries, huckleberries and blackberries with a touch of pink grapefruit and candied orange peel finishing with hints of cedar, cigar box as well as espresso roast, with velvety tannins, it reveals impressive purity and texture in addition to a full-bodied rich finish.

The nose of our 2005 vintage is extraordinary, with notes of cedar, graphite, tobacco leaf and spice, crème de cassis with blackberries warmed on a summer's day and dipped in milk chocolate. It is full-bodied with deliciously soft tannins and pure, rich, concentrated flavors. This wine has perfect balance and purity, a texture on the palate that has to be “felt” to be believed, and a lingering finish.
