Notre Vin Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Clos Madeleine
Clos Madeleine, the Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir, is crafted in the Burgundian tradition with fruit grown at the well-known Terra de Promissio Vineyard in the Petaluma gap.
The 2009 Notre Vin Clos Madeleine Pinot Noir shows a beautiful medium ruby color, dense and brilliant, with hints
of purple at the rim. The bouquet very expressive offers the typical lilac and forest violet aromas noticeable
in Pinot Noir from the terroir of Sonoma Coast, in addition to composite flavors of raspberries, wild strawberries
and ripe black cherry, developing into a spiciness with clove, cinnamon, licorice and a suggestion of jasmine-tea
leaf that is more characteristic of the vintage. The freshness and energy when first tasted is extremely
well-balanced with a lush curvy body, silky almost seamless tannins and a long finish all in charm and elegance.

Our 2007 vintage has a beautiful garnet color, with hues of blue indicating its
young age. The nose is typical of a pure Pinot Noir with floral notes of violets, daffodils and white lilies.
The new French oak shows ever so slightly with hints of cedar wood, fresh walnuts and dark chocolate intermixed
with fruity aromas of black cherries, dried wild strawberries and candied cranberries with a touch of spice
with cardamom, laurel and crème brulée. The finish is well-balanced and elegant with seamless
integration of the tannins. This is a wine that can be enjoyed now, particularly if decanted, but also to be
cellared for five to ten years.

The nose of this dark ruby colored 2006 vintage is what we look forward to in a
Pinot Noir; a mélange of black cherry, dark raspberry and strawberry with prominent minerality, and subtle floral
notes of violets intermingling with flavors of cherry pits. The oak shows delicately as it balances the spicy notes of
nutmeg, pepper, cedar, camphor and roasted espresso with fruit of black fruit and pomegranate.
